May 28th ~ This Week
Monona Farmers’ Market
May 28, 2017
This Week at the Market
Make the Monona Farmers’ Market part of your Memorial Day weekend. While there, remember our veterans by visiting the Dane County Veterans’ Memorial adjacent to the market at Ahuska Park. The granite star and vertical panels pay tribute to all of the Dane County residents who have been killed in action since and including WW1.
If you are grilling out, stop by South Padre Seafoods and Highland Spring Farm for top quality seafood, chicken, pork and beef. You can also get great cooking tips from these vendors if you ask.
A fresh salad is a perfect compliment to grilled meat or seafood. Vendor stalls are loaded with fresh spring greens, asparagus, radishes, green onions, tomatoes and cucumbers.
Warmer, drier weather brings the opportunity to plant your garden. You’ll find beautiful flowers, vegetable and herb starts at Natalie’s Garden and Greenhouse and Nehmer’s Produce and Greenhouse.
Enjoy the music of the Tenderlies, this week’s live entertainment.
The market, located at Ahuska Park, 400 East Broadway, is open every Sunday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm through October 29th.
EBT is accepted.
