October 16 ~ This Week
Fall at the Market!
With only three markets left this season this is the perfect time to stock up on fall produce and do some holiday shopping. You’ll find handmade candles, soaps and scrubbies, hats, scarves, Alpaca yarn, and homemade dog treats. Culinary treats make great host/hostess gifts and stocking stuffers. You’ll find jams, relishes and pickles, maple syrup, honey, salsa, fresh ground coffee from Café Social, olive oil and sunflower oil. It’s always a treat to receive something locally made.
John Duggleby, a writer, musician and part-time chicken dancer, is this week’s entertainer. He performs audience-friendly music from the past 150 years including his own songs. His performances are guitar-centric with mandolin and some drums thrown in.
Mayor Bob Miller welcomes you at his picnic table office from 10:00 to noon. He’ll broadcast live on Monona’s local radio station, WVMO at 98.7 starting at 11:00.
The Monona Farmers’ Market is honored to be a candidate for the 2017 Best of Madison Awards. You can show your support for the market by casting your vote online at bestofmadison.com through October.
Voters are allowed one vote per day, per category using one email address.
