September 11 ~ This Week
Art at the Mart Craft Fair
Don’t miss the 9th annual ‘Art at the Mart’ craft fair this weekend. The craft fair, held in conjunction with the Monona Farmers’ Market, goes from 9:00am to 1:00pm. More than forty craft vendors will set up their booths around the Veterans’ Memorial at Ahuska Park. It’s the perfect opportunity to find that special gift or start your holiday shopping early with a broad selection of unique, well priced crafts made in Wisconsin. You’ll find fall décor, knitwear, soaps, candles, yard art, pet items, jewelry, painting, photography and many one-of-a-kind items. There are crafts for kids and lots to enjoy. Rain date is September 18.
While shopping, enjoy listening to the sounds of a market favorite, Dean’s Blue Country. He is a one-man performer who does new to old country. Legends such as Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Dwight and Buck, Jim Reeves, and Waylon Jennings can all be heard.
The Monona Farmers’ Market vendors offer a great selection of fresh seasonal produce, baked goods, meats, seafood, dairy items, jams & jellies, snacks, flowers and more.
Stop by and visit with Mayor Bob Miller at his picnic table office. He’ll be at the market from 10:00 am to noon and will broadcast live on Monona’s local radio station, WVMO at 98.7 FM starting at 11:00am.
