Looking for something spicy? The Cajun Spice Band, three Madison musicians playing guitar, fiddle and accordion, will add flavor to the market with their traditional Cajun Music from Southwest Louisiana.

Speaking of flavor –  spice up tomatoes or green beans that are plentiful at the market with this recipe.

basilBasil Vinaigrette

¼ cup fresh basil, cut in ribbons

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 Tablespoon balsamic vinegar

1 ½ teaspoons olive oil

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Mix all together and drizzle on fresh tomato slices or cooked and chilled green beans. Top with shredded Romano or Parmesan cheese.
