August is Full of Fresh Summer Vegetables
With a wide assortment of summer vegetables available at the market, you may be looking for cooking ideas. The Yang family, longtime market vendors, offers simple stir-fry suggestions to prepare a savory dish.
Heat olive oil in a wok or skillet on medium-high heat.
- Add onions and/or garlic for flavor and stir for a couple of minutes.
- Add vegetables – your choice! Stir-fry until tender-crisp (about 5 minutes)
- Stir in Hoisin sauce until well blended.
The Old Gray Cats will return to the market Sunday, August 23. Enjoy this old-timey string band featuring fiddle, guitar, banjo, stand-up bass and vocals.
