This Week ~ July 26
This Week at the Market
The summer produce selection at the Monona Farmers’ Market is expanding. You’ll find fresh-picked strawberries, heirloom tomatoes, sugar snap peas, beets, kohlrabi, radishes, lettuces, spinach, summer squash and more. There is everything you need to create great summer salads and side dishes.
This week’s live music is The Moogietunes, a trio whose songs are inspired by tales of travel and life experiences. The band’s music creates a truly unique sound and mood. Moogietunes has been best described as a mostly original rockin’ pop group; a garage band that has fine-tuned, but never left the garage.
Make your 4th of July gathering special with locally made foods. Try the Salsa Man’s preservative free homemade salsas and chips, Farmer John’s squeaky cheese curds, cheeses and spreads, Chippy’s kettle corn and pickles and preserves from Chef K. Clark or Land of Oos. You can even treat the family pet with homemade dog treats from SJ Homemade. Create a festive atmosphere with flowering plants, hanging baskets and fresh cut flowers.
