4th of July Weekend
Include the Monona Farmers’ Market in your 4th of July weekend activities. Strawberries are still available. You’ll also find raspberries, green beans, zucchini, kohlrabi, tomatoes, beets, cauliflower as part of the great summer produce selection.
Enjoy listening to the heartwarming and inspiring songs of musician, songwriter and humanitarian, Brian Ernst. Brian and wife Katie are a full-time traveling musician and artist who tour in their solar paneled and bio-diesel fueled bus. They share their music and provide support for families around the world through the non-profit organization Journey4YOUth committed to helping the poor prosper through empowerment and sustainability. Their music is a perfect compliment to Independence Day.
Master Gardeners will be available to answer your gardening questions. Get advice on how to deal with invasive plants and other summer pests.
The Double Dollars Program starts this Sunday and runs through the end of the season. This is an incentive program for SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) and Foodshare users offering a dollar for dollar match for all EBT transactions up to $25.
Join the free “Class in the Grass” offered by JOY in YOGA is from 9:00 to 10:00. Bring a yoga mat if you have one.
The market, located at Ahuska Park, 400 East Broadway, is open every Sunday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm through October 25th. EBT accepted.
